Heather Georgiou, Abstract Visual Artist
Heather started painting in the last four years, since moving, to help with her new home's decor, since most of the prints/art work previously acquired did not work in the new space. Heather's style can be described as evolving and she's always experimenting with different techniques and styles. Inspired by nature specifically trees and water. To date, Heather has painted for family and friends and would like to expand her audience.
Heather retired from the automotive industry after working as an Engineering Estimator for 20+ years. Prior to that she worked as a draftsperson in, you guessed it, the automotive industry. She graduated from a three year Interior Design Program at St. Clair College with classes in art and drafting, among many others. Also, she held a Real Estate License and went back to school as an adult student for Plastic Mold Design and won “best mold designer” from the classes of that year.
She tends to do more painting in the cooler months due to the fact that she loves to spend summers outside gardening, paddle boarding, kayaking, boating, walking and refinishing/re-purposing furniture and “found items”.
Heather is happily married with a blended family of five adult children and two grandchildren. She has lived most of her life in the Windsor area, and is currently residing in Tecumseh.
