About the artist:
Deborah is a retired Registered Nurse. Art has always been her passion since she was young. Deborah learned most on her own, although she has taken stained glass and fused glass classes, as well as classes at Lee Valley on spoon carving and making a wooden bowl.
Deborah participated in Art Battle, made wreaths for Children’s Hospital to raffle off to help needy families, painted 4 poppy pictures for the Art Incubator and Coulter’s to sell and raise money for Veterans, donated jewelry, hand made rosaries, and wood carving to help the Our Lady of Guadeloupe home for mothers. Deborah I also donated 24 paintings to migrant workers that were battling Covid to cheer them up. She painted a mural at the hospital in Detroit. Deborah also participated in the 30x40 show at Nancy Johns' Gallery. In addition, Pope Francis also has one of her pieces of artwork and a rosary she made for him.
Sharing her artwork with others is important and makes her happy. Doing artwork is part of her soul. She loves jewelry making, glass art- fusing and stained glass, wood carving, wood burning, painting, mosaic work, and making wreaths.
